  A good store usually answers questions quickly and does not hide behind canned messages. Reviews that mention long term use are more valuable than comments written on day one. Good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. If many different people say the same thing about a product, it is worth paying attention. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. Metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. People who share height and weight information make it easier to choose the right size.
