Our library is hosting a small clothing swap, and I am preparing an optional discussion about choosing colors from the available donations. The activity should stay accessible to visitors with no previous interest in fashion. The donated clothes will span many styles, while practical needs will vary between participants. I would like the discussion to help people notice options they might otherwise overlook. A volunteer suggested sorting everything into seasons, but that seems difficult to explain consistently. I have been reviewing personal color analysis while trying to keep the conversation open to individual taste and practical clothing needs. We have a few mirrors available, though personal assessments are beyond what volunteers can offer. Perhaps a simple comparison exercise would be more useful than signs with seasonal names. What introductory wording would make this useful without implying that some colors are forbidden?
